Welcome to my website! My name is Nora Kaminski, and I am primarily a violinist and singer-songwriter from the Northwest suburbs of Rochester, NY. My music most closely resembles folk rock, but my listeners may hear influences from many different genres, including indie, jazz, and country. I have been known to play original songs, often throwing in my own renditions of popular songs, such as “Build Me Up Buttercup” and “Baby One More Time”. I have performed as a number of different venues, festivals, house parties, and showcases around Rochester, such as Boulder Coffee Company, Lovin’ Cup, the California Brew Haus, Leaf and Bean Coffee, Javas, and Waterstreet Music Hall.

I have recently come out of almost a 3 year hiatus immediately following a 2009 car accident, of which my left hand is still recovering from. Although I am still able to play my guitar, my violin playing has taken a hit; However, I am constantly working on getting my skills back to where they once were. I am proud to say that I have a strong support system, and I have been inspired by the large number of people who reached out to me through one of the most difficult times in my life.

In the future, you can expect to hear new music as well as see new videos from me. A lot has happened over the past few years, and I’m aching to sing all about it!
